Penny is a sweet pit bull girl who came to us as a rescue from a neglectful situation. She was diagnosed with an injury which required the amputation of one leg in December.
Penny came through her surgery well and started to adjust quickly to life on three legs, figuring out how to get up and down, manage stairs and balance to "do her business".
Her wound will take some time to heal though and is requiring ongoing treatment because infection has damaged tissue around the wound and she suffered a small setback over Christmas with a bout of pneumonia. She is getting care from the SPCA, our partner vet clinic and a caring foster family while she recovers but we are reaching out to see if you can help with a donation to Penny's mounting medical costs.
All donations will be greatly appreciated, as the SPCA is community-funded and we rely on folks like you to help us help pets in need like Penny. Donations are tax-receipted. Can you help us give Penny the care she deserves after the challenges she has faced?
