ΚΣ Strongman benefitting Juan Duran

Donation protected
Every year the Omicron-Eta chapter of Kappa Sigma hosts its annual Strongman Competition raising money for a philanthropic cause which closely effects a brother or brothers. On March 19th, 2018 one of our most active brothers and now alumni Juan Duran lost his father, Pablo Duran. This was a sudden loss which left Juan and his mother in both emotional and financial turmoil. As a fraternity we have decided to donate the proceeds to help Brother Duran and his family during this difficult time.

Pablo Duran suffered from diabetes and the associated complications for a large majority of his life. Pablo was diagnosed with end stage kidney and liver failure several years ago and was placed on the donor registry in Colombia where he was awaiting a transplant. On Monday, 3/19/2018 (one month before his 55th birthday), Pablo went into sudden cardiac arrest and was unable to be revived. Pablo is survived by his wife, Melba, and son Juan. Due to his untimely demise, no financial preparations were made, and thus the Duran family has found itself in significant need for financial support. Every dollar counts in helping give back to this incredible family who has given so much to this fraternity and their community.

We will be having this page open for at least a month in hopes of raising money for a good cause.

Rest in Peace, Pablo Duran (April 19th 1963-March 19th 2018)
