Help Bring Stroke Victim Home

My sister, Judi Lazerus, desperately needs your help.  Judi and her husband, Thanos Karras, reside in Garland, Texas.  Four months ago, Thanos suffered a massive stroke while visiting his children in the Boston area.  Judi has been staying in Boston for the past four months arranging for and monitoring his care while he is in a rehab center.  
 
Unfortunately, insurance only pays for a limited amount of time in a facility and they are getting ready to release him.  He is paralyzed on his right side, cannot walk, and has limited speech and eating abilities, as well as other medical issues.  When the rehab facility releases him, they need to get back to their home in Texas.  He is in no condition to fly nor can she handle him alone.  Medical transport by land seems to be the only option, the cost of which averages $10,000.  He will be released from rehab within the next two weeks so getting the funding for this as soon as possible is crucial. 
 
I’m asking for your help to fund this travel and accompanying healthcare expenses as his insurance does not cover this need.  My sister will need to hire the transport, plus a companion to help her during the trip.  Many of you know Judi and what a wonderful, selfless individual she is.  Having a loved one experience an unexpected illness while they are far away from home has proved to be an incredibly challenging ordeal for Judi, Thanos, and everyone else in the family.  Any help you can give (even the smallest amount) will be greatly appreciated.
