Strides 4 Neuropathy
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Michelle, I'm raising funds for my brother and Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN).
My brother was diagnosed with DPN about a year ago. He was unaware he was a type II diabetic until he began to have pain, numbness, and tingling in his feet. By the time he was diagnosed, the pain became so intense that walking was almost unbearable and he couldn't work for nearly nine months. I felt completely helpless so I wanted to do something to help my brother and all those who suffer from this debilitating disorder.
I am a runner and could not imagine not being able to run, let alone walk so I decided to put my feet into motion and start striding for neuropathy. I will run 64 miles from Tahoe to Reno on my brother's 64th birthday this July. During my training, I will blog about my experiences and the research that I have found to bring awareness and support for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.
Please help me reach my goal by donating to Strides 4 Neuropathy. Your donations will be shared with my brother, to help pay for therapies not covered by insurance, and neuropathy research institutions that offer non-pharmaceutical treatments.
Your support can help bring relief and end pain!
