Renee Bertke-Jensen story~
Renee shares a beautiful life with her husband whom she has spent 19 years with & counting.
She is a breast cancer surviror since 2011. Early in May Renee started having some issues with her breathing. She was sent for an X-ray which showed that she had fluid on her right lung, she was sent for a second x-ray that still showed fluid on the lung as well as fluid around her heart. On May 19th 1 1/2 liters was drained from her right lung. They tried some medications that did not make her any better.
June 14th more fluid drained off her right lung & she was admitted into the hospital.
June 20th abnormal clusters of cells are found in the fluid from her lungs. Doctor thinks they look like breast cancer cells & he is sending her to Indianapolis for a PET scan.
June 26th PET scan was done at 3:00 pm with results to come in the next day.
June 27th RESULTS are in: Cancer is found in her groin area close to her hip and in her lower back in the bone, cancer is also found in the lymph nodes of her neck. The doctor is still uncertain as to what type of cancer she has yet more testing will be done. She had another couple of liters drained off her lung again & that fluid will be sent for more testing. When those results come in & Renee gives me permission I will post more information.
CANCER SUCK & it is UGLY no matter what kind it is or whoever it attacks! Lets help support our friend, she will be making multiple trips to Indianapolis. Her & Eric will be missing work for various appoinments for more testing & unknown at this time medical expensise.
Any amount will help make this trying time for them a little more easier.
I am sure I speak on their behalf by thanking you as well as I thank you for your time to reading about her story, for your support & prayers for Renee & Eric.
