Stray Dog's Journey to Health and Safety
Tax deductible
This sweet girl showed up in one of my neighbor's backyards last night. She kept her overnight but is unable to care for her or keep her as she has two large dogs. I picked her up this morning for my neighbor and will foster her until we can get her a home. I’m working with my friend Liz Stockton, who helped me rehome my dad‘s dog when he went into assisted living. If she does pet rescues after close examination, she may have an ear infection, has apparently had puppies, and is in need of some medical vet attention as she may have some sort of infection from the birth of her puppies. I’m asking for help from my community here in Deland to please donate any amount you can to give her a clean bill of health. Any other donations you can provide would be greatly appreciated so we can get her a new home. Donations of blankets, a crate, and dog food are also welcome.
Doing my research, this sweet girl seems to be the dog that’s been roaming Deland for weeks and apparently may have been dumped by her previous owner. The puppies were not seen where she was originally reported to be found, which was on Lexington Drive in Deland near 92. I plan on taking her there today to walk around the wooded area with my husband to see if we can locate her puppies. If anyone would like to join our search party later today, any help in locating her puppies would be greatly appreciated.
