Straub Family

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I say, today my Beautiful sister in law lost her battle with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). She was the most courageous warrior in the world.  She had a heart and smile that would light up any room she walked into . Her beauty stopped most in their tracks.  Although Mary was handed many challanges in life she always perservered with amazing grace and patience. She never waivered. She never ever complained. Even after being given two children with special needs she still went on to become a nurse and worked at Chop and was an advocate for Fragile X syndrome. She had so many accomplishments but her children were her life. She dedicated herself to making sure they were protected and well taken care of with more love and patience than most. She was an amazing Mother, wife , sister, daughter and friend. There are no words to describe the loss of her. Our lives our forever changed. Our hearts forever broken. 
Over the last 2 1/2 years I watched my Brother take care of her daily. He never gave up. He never complained. He continued to care for his 4 children and work and run a household that she had done for so many years.  Mary fought so hard and my Brother never left her side.He fought with her.  I watched this family endure what no humans should have to.  Cancer is so beyond ugly.
I am setting this go fund me up  ( which I know my brother will not be happy about because he is to proud) but he will need help in the weeks and months to come as he is paying for funeral expenses and continues to care for his family.  I made a promise to her to help him take care of the kids and its a promise I will keep and honor. We will make her proud. Thank you to everyone who has helped us already. Thank you to her older children Liz & John for being so strong.  Thank you to her family , my family  and friends for all the support. Life is so precious. I hope everyone takes a moment today to hug your loved ones. Dont take one second for granted!
