Stranded Schnauzers to Brisbane

Donation protected
The two Schnauzers after 3 years in Phnom Penh assisting in many aspects of rescue dogs, anti dog meat trade and working with boarding dogs my wife and I decided we should return to Australia with the dogs. We are retired in our 70's, self funded with me receiving a small pension for service in Vietnam.   We planned the move and committed our budget to cover all costs. The two dogs were flown to Malaysia and into Quarantine.   They went through most of the procedures to get them home and our luck ran out. The Department of Agriculture in Australia uncovered an illegal scheme where pedigree dogs were being shipped to Penang in Malaysia from China and false paperwork and test results being submitted.  This saved them the many weeks that have to be put in to get the dogs into Australia.   Australia immediately placed a blanket ban on all animals coming in from Malaysia.   There were quite a few people effected.   Collateral damage.   Most of the animals were taken back to their origin but we could not. Our only option is to find an accepted country and do the process all over again. We have now organised to bring them through Singapore.   A very expensive exercise which we are having difficulty in covering cost wise. We now have the added impost of the Corona Virus which means we have no idea when they will be able to travel to Brisbane Via Melbourne.   The Gaint Schnauzer is marked for therapy dog role in Brisbane. The funds goal shall also be used to cover the prolonged stay.   Excess funds to dog rescue in Cambodia.
