Stowe School Lockdown Physical Challenge

Stowe CCF/Community Physical Challenge 8-21 Feb

Stowe CCF are launching their Strava based challenge Monday  8 Feb– Sunday 21 Feb, headed up by Johnny Sutherland and Phil Benedic.

You can run, walk or cycle.

The aim is for each participant to achieve 18kms, minimum, (any discipline) over the 2 weeks.

We are all suffering at the moment, but it is worth bearing in mind that these veterans will be suffering for the rest of their lives, so 18 km is a small sacrifice, by comparison.

Taking part and helping reach our target destinations, see below, will get us all off our screens, outdoors, active, and give a little something back to our injured ex-veterans.

Do join us. You’ll never regret doing that extra bit of physical exercise, and you’ll have really earned that Netflix film and popcorn..

More information about Walking With The Wounded: Walking With The Wounded offers assistance through its programmes to those vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service and assist them in gaining independence through new long term careers outside of the military. This includes providing support to homeless veterans and veterans in the Criminal Justice System, areas which are too often ignored. The outcome? Sustainable employment, and independence for them and their families.
