Stop the Zorra Dump

Unless the citizens of Zorra make it known that they do not want 17 million tonnes of industrial waste being dumped in their community - our town council may vote to approve just such a project. Council have already sided with Walker Industries in their desire that Zorra Council have sole approval rights. They may side with Walker again when it comes to a vote for their proposal.
Every citizen and business in Zorra must have a voice. The Zorra Citizens Committee to Stop the Dump will demand that Town Council base its decision on the will of the people, not the sales-pitch of Walker.
Our committee needs funds to buy 1000s of signs, maintain a webpage, do mailings to every home and business, and ensure that every citizen knows and understandings what's at stake and what they can do about it.
We are starting from Ground Zero - as Walker and the Town have held no public meetings here, ever.
Please donate what you can, as soon as you can. This campaign will last up to and through the 2022 municipal election, so that we can ensure this council and every person running for council that the LANDFILL DECISION WILL BE THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION IN OUR COMMUNITY'S HISTORY. THIS DECISION MUST BE 'NO'.

Right now, Max Kirby, long-time Zorra resident and businessman is funding this campaign out of his own pocket. He needs your help, and Zorra Council needs to know that this issue is so important that Zorra residents are willing to put up their own money to fight it.
