Stone Bench at Keene State for Remy Johnston

From 2013 to 2015, Remy Johnston spent many of her days walking by “the pond” at Keene State, as her sophomore and junior year dorms were located next to this pond. Whether she was walking to class, coming home from a night out with friends, or visiting with family, this pond was a consistent part of Remy’s experiences at Keene State. 

After talking to staff at the Alumni Center, fortune would have it that there is a bench spot available overlooking this very pond. It will be a stone bench with engravings dedicated to Remy Johnston. Family and close friends will contribute to the content of this engraving. We hope to have a unveiling ceremony, in which family and friends will be able to celebrate Remy’s life and remember all of the wonderful memories they’ve shared with her. We are expecting the ceremony to be in late spring of 2020.

While the cost of this bench is $2,500, we are hopeful to exceed this goal. All donations exceeding the bench cost would be gifted to the Johnston’s to help pay off Remy’s college loans. Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated.
