St.Mochtas & Friends of Liam 24Hour Sponsored Walk
Donation protected
St.Mochtas are taking on a 24-hour sponsored walk challenge which will see players, coaches, club members and friends splitting into relay teams with a mission to keep the baton moving for a continuous 24hr period. The first team will set off at 18:00 on Friday 23rd September, with the relay team changing every hour until 18:00 on Saturday 24th, followed by a celebratory BBQ in the village afterward.
On the back of this mammoth task, the club is aiming to raise funds for its juvenile development program, under which the club has ambitious plans for a new juvenile pitch facility at the Louth Village venue.
St.Mochtas has partnered with local charity Friends of Liam foundation on this event and will co-raise funds for this fantastic charity as part of the event.
Commenting on the event, St.Mochtas Chairman Michael Murphy said “ We are delighted to see the unbelievable support we are receiving both local and further afield; it’s an exciting period for the Club on and off the field, and the funds raised will greatly support our juvenile development plans while also supporting a fabulous local charity Friends of Liam Foundation.”
