Stillwater Theatre Company is a non-profit, professional theatre company in residence at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Stillwater strives to create stirring, passionate and thought-provoking theatre that will engage and inspire our audience.
Most importantly, Stillwater is focused on promoting women’s issues in theatre and providing an atmosphere where women can foster strong characters and stories. This experience provides both the guest professional artists and Meredith students with opportunities that extend beyond their professional or academic endeavors.
We need your help to produce Stillwater Theatre Company's current production, MONUMENTAL by Steven Roten.
Since Stillwater is a non- profit organization, funds are needed to cover the costs of producing this beautifully moving play. The money raised will go directly to our guest artists, production staff and to the production needs of the show.
MONUMENTAL will open in the Studio Theatre on the campus of Meredith College this April.

Synopsis-
Washington, DC.-On the National Mall two young people from different cultures collide. Tony is a Japanese-American whose grandfather died in Vietnam. He’s bright, funny, and optimistic. Esperanza is Cuban; angry, bitter, and still mourning the brother who gave his life fighting for a country she is reluctant to claim. MONUMENTAL is about how the two of them negotiate a tentative relationship. It’s about coming to terms with the past while moving into the future…and learning how to fly a kite.

PLATINUM LEVEL:
$1000 + ---ALL at the GOLD level, copy of the play signed by the cast, director, and playwright
