We are still loving you Wayana

This is part two of our ealier campaign to help support Wayana and her family as she moves through her treatment for Lukemia.

We recently learned that there are more leuk cells in Wayana's bone marrow than the doctors had hoped to see, and she has been moved to high risk.

Additionally, Wayana's uncle/Sokhna's brother David, who Sokhna has been caring for, passed away last week. 

Please continue to support Wayana and her family as they navigate this challenging time.

For those of you who are new to this story story, here is our original campaign...

Our beloved, magical 9-year-old Capricorn, universal little sister, girl-child Wayana is very ill.

She was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is now receiving aggressive chemotherapy and bone marrow therapies at Bronson Children’s Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Anyone who has had the joy of meeting and spending time with Wayana knows that she is a truly a special soul. She is wise beyond her years, creative, witty, oh so stylish, magnificent, strong & brave. Right now she is fighting from her core for her health and vitality.

Wayana’s mother Sokhna - yogini, midwife, doula, herbalist, artist, and priestess - has dedicated her adult life to raising her two children as a single mother, supporting the healing of countless women as well as lovingly caring for her brother, a war veteran for the past two years.

We are asking that Sokhna’s community band together in a circle of support to help during this time. Sokhna will need to put 100% of her energy into Wayana’s healing for an undetermined amount of time and will not be able to work to financially support herself & two children, Wayana & Kayenn.

This moment is calling on us to mother the mother.
