Dear family and friends, It is with a broken and heavy heart that we are at this point, starting a Go Fund Me page. We have lived in our home for 19 years. Hurricane Florence has caused the N.E. Cape Fear river to crest at 25.58 feet and is labeled the “1000 year flood”. We do not have flood insurance because we were told we were not in a flood zone, in fact we had a 0.2% chance of ever flooding. We are applying for any financial assistance that we can qualify for to rebuild the complete downstairs and a roof. We have lost all possessions on the first floor. Fortunately we have a place to stay. Our hope is that Chip can devote all his time to restoring the house back to what it was but we still have limitations when it comes to replacing the complete HVAC system, duct work and the electrical. We prayerfully request any financial help you can provide. It is not comfortable for us to post this. Please know we appreciate any efforts made on our behalf.
