Steve's Kidney Transplant

Donation protected
Meet Steve. He is a hardworking husband, father to three, and an awesome science teacher. In 2016, he was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure. He had no signs or symptoms. Thankfully, he was at a biometric screening at the right time on the right day. His blood pressure was so high, the doctors were shocked he didn't have a stroke. We praise God everyday for sparing his life!

In February, I shared a post on Facebook looking for a donor for Steve for Valentine's Day. We had an overwhelming reply and a match was found! Thank you to everyone that shared my post because of YOU we have a surgery date of June 22. The process took a couple of months due to the donor living out of state but we are so happy to finally have a date set!

Since you ALL did such a great job helping me find a donor, I was wondering.... Could you help me raise money for the surgery? Our insurance covers the surgeries for both Steve and the donor but we have a pretty high deductible to reach first. We also have other expenses associated with the surgery, like traveling and stay for the donor, parking and food at the hospital, medication/vitamins for after surgery and the chance of loss income.

We would appreciate any amount you could contribute to our fund. If you can't help financially, please consider marking your calendar and praying on June 22 for Steve and his donor. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at [email redacted]

Thank you,

Megan
