Stevens Family House Fire

On Tuesday, October 3, 2017 our dear friends experienced a fire in their home that has drastically changed their lives. In a matter of minutes their kitchen was a blaze and as they called 911 they safely got the kiddos and family pet out of the home. Neighbors gathered and tried to help however they could as the smoke was pouring out. The fire was extinguished and the fire department assessed the damage in the walls and areas around the kitchen and living room. They watched as firemen ripped out ceilings, cabinets and appliances  to ensure that the fire was completely out. The fire was ablaze long enough to spread soot and smoke damage throught the entire first level of their home. Thankfully there is homeowners insurance that covers the structural damage, however they did not have renters insurance to cover their furnishings and personal belongings. Many things are burned and a total loss, while several other things damaged by the smoke and soot beyond saving. 

I wanted to start this campaign for this sweet family as so many of you have asked what you can do to help. At this point they have additional expenses by being out of their home and waiting on insurance to kick in so that the rebuilding and restoring can begin. Soon they will be needing to buy and replace personal items and furnishings. If you see it in your heart to bless these guys I know that they would be forever grateful. As they dig deeper and deeper into the home more and more things are being discovered as a need, so if possible this fund can help them rebuild their home. THANK YOU!
