Steven's Big Step: Portugal Showcase Fundraiser
Don protégé
Hello world,
For those who don’t know me, my name is Steven Hamilton Jr, I’m from Southern PA. From a small town name Phoenixville where the grass is always green!
I am a college graduate from Lycoming College and Widener University (5th year program/Covid Year) where I focused my studies on Business Administration, Corporate Communications, and Business Process Innovation. I received my Bachelors in Business Administration and minor in Corporate Communications. I am currently working on receiving my certificate for Process Innovation at WU.
I am the youngest of 6 siblings, uncle to 9 beautiful nieces and nephews, and a son to the best set of Parents who have been married for 20+ years!
What brings you here is my love for BASKETBALL!
I have been a participant of the game for as long as I could walk. I have been blessed with living next to a basketball court and basketball junkies who have influenced my love for the game, and are why I want to continue. I have achieved many honors doing what I love…
High-school Achievements:
Sophomore year received all conference
Senior year all-area first team, all conference, Conference final 4 appearance
College Achievements:
3 out of 4 year starter
Rookie of the year
All conference selection 4yrs
Conference championship
1,000 Point Scorer!
As you can see, I went above and beyond with basketball. I care and love this game so much that with this resume, I am ready and believe I can profit off basketball for the first time in my career. I am ready to be a Professional Basketball Player.
Playing at the D3 Level you have to invest in yourself in ways that the average person may not understand. I paid to play with the help of my parents believing in my abilities every step of the way.
My parents helped me get to the collegiate level because it is hard to be successful at any level. But now it is my turn to invest in myself. I must do that by engaging in Pro Activities.
I have an important showcase coming up, June 7-14th in Portugal. Basically, the trip is to show us what life will be across the country. It’s an exposure event where we play 4 games with practices too. Ultimately, the trip gives us a glimpse of Pro Basketball and a feasible option to get a contract.
This is all on me. It’s my life to decide what I want to do. The opportunity door has opened, but I need some help to step through.
I must invest in myself one more time with this trip. This career choice is unorthodox but I believe I am a perfect fit for professional basketball. I haven’t skipped a beat, I still workout and go to pickup where I play better or keep up with younger college athletes. So I know this will be beneficial for my future life and overall happiness!
After the showcase, in August is when they draft free agents from America. I will need an agent when that time comes, but I get to see what organization and country is interested in my capabilities. My parents are planning on starting paying for school and the loans I used. This career choice will eventually pay off. So, I’m not going to ask them because I feel they have done enough for me to get to this point.
After reading this, anything helps.
That can range from agents, sports agency, any amount of donation, training supplies or just words of wisdom!
THANKS IN ADVANCE I’m glad this read found you!
