I am helping my mother to set this up because she has difficulty using a computer. All funds will be going directly to her bank account.
My stepfather, Steve, passed away unexpectedly on July 6 at the age of 65. On top of grieving for her husband, my mother also has medical issues and requires dialysis three days a week. He was the only source of income since my mother could not work due to her health. Now she has no income to help pay for funeral costs, and my stepfather also did not have life insurance.
It's already difficult dealing with losing a loved one without the extra burden of funeral costs and other necessary expenses. We are still unsure how much it will all cost, but we've estimated how much may be needed to cover the funeral, the burial, and help pay off bills until a better solution is found.
