Steve Dillon Exhibition

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tanya and I am Steve Dillons daughter in law. As some of you may know for just over 18 months, I have been running the Steve Dillon Exhibition and touring it around when possible. We started in Northampton, then took it to Luton, London, Bristol and Bedford. We have also done 2 (slightly different shows) in Italy.

The exhibition consists of around 50 of Steve’s most iconic and loved original pages from Judge Dredd, Dr Who, Rogue Trooper, Preacher, Hellblazer, Punisher and others. For any Steve Dillon fan, it really is quite something to be in a room filled with this work! We do try and add in pages when we can get them framed or change things slightly to vary it up.

Both my husband (Steve’s son Mark) and I work full time, we have 2 young children and time is limited but we love sharing Steve’s work with those that want to see it and love meeting people who share with us stories about Steve. It keeps his legacy alive, which is nice, as I think we can all agree that he was taken too soon. We have big plans for next year, hoping to make it to Glasgow, Enniskillin, Dublin, Luton comic con and Thought Bubble (if accepted).

With all these places we will have to front the cost for travel (more then likely have to get the Ferry to Ireland on both occasions so we can bring the artwork ourselves in the car) hotels, fuel, any extra framing and insurance. The artwork is not for sale so we do not make any profit touring this exhibition.

Rebellion and DC have kindly agreed for us to use a few images to turn into prints / T-shirts to sell as merchandise at conventions to help fund the exhibition. We are in talks with Marvel. BUT this is where we need your help! With the money we raise, we can get the prints and T-shirts made, framing, travel, insurance and then if there is anything left over, we can put that towards a proper storage space for the exhibition as currently it’s very time consuming trying to dig frames out from under beds/sofas and from under loads of coats at the back of wardrobes (and it’s a matter of time before something gets damaged!)

Hopefully this fundraiser will give us a good kickstart and the merchandise can help to continue to bring in money for us to keep putting back into the exhibition so we can continue to tour it. Eventually we would love to take it to both Australia and America before ending the tour in a few years time, which will also require shipping but I can’t think that far ahead right now!

So please, if you have been to see the exhibition and enjoyed it or if you haven’t yet seen it but would love to visit at some point and you can spare even £1 to help, that would be amazing. Every little helps and we absolutely understand that everyone is under financial pressure currently so if you can’t donate then please share with anyone you think would like to know about us!
