Steve Haviland & Amanda Kinzel Haviland
Donation protected
Our brother-in-law, Steve, has been diagnosed with end-stage renal failure. As a result, he must now go to dialysis three times a week, and will be put on the list for a kidney transplant. Because of this diagnosis, he is no longer able to work, and has lost his job as a truck driver.
Steve prides himself on providing for his family, and he will likely qualify for disability benefits, but the approval process takes 3-4 months. This could be financially devastating to his family. His wife Mandy (our sister) is a nurse, but will be taking some unpaid time off in order to help him do dialysis at home. Like most families, it takes two incomes just to stay above water.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. And please keep Steve in your prayers...that he finds a suitable donor and can look forward to enjoying his (future) grandkids and seeing the Browns finally win a Super Bowl. Thank you!
