Een goede vriendin in nood. Er is op vrijdag 9 februari een brand geweest in de keuken van mijn vriendin, een recent gescheiden moeder met 2 tieners en 1 jong volwassene die allemaal nog thuis wonen. Daarbij is ook de familie hond door de rook ontwikkeling overleden. Wat een verdriet!

Niet alleen moet mijn vriendin haar kinderen opvangen en tijdelijke woonruimte regelen voor de komende 3 maanden terwijl de verzekering en de woningbouw haar huis weer bewoonbaar maakt, maar haar gezin is natuurlijk ook in shock en super verdrietig. Zelf komt ze nauwelijks aan haar eigen verdriet toe, want wat moet er een hoop geregeld worden! Het hele huis stinkt naar de brandlucht, alles moet schoongemaakt worden, vervangen, of opnieuw geschilderd. Denk je dat eens in, al je keukengerei, je studieboeken, je planten, de computer waar je kinderen hun huiswerk op maken, de foto's op de muur. Allemaal weg. Alles moet opnieuw geregeld worden. De verzekering vergoed wel wat, maar zeker niet alles en haar kinderen hebben zo gauw mogelijk weer een nieuw thuis nodig. Deze vriendin zit met haar handen in het haar, ziet door de bomen het bos niet meer, en wij willen haar ondersteunen tijdens deze moeilijke periode.

Met jouw donatie gaan we onze vriendin ondersteunen, zodat ze zich in ieder geval geen zorgen hoeft te maken of ze deze zomer wel met haar kinderen op vakantie of scouting kamp kan omdat al haar spaargeld is opgegaan aan het opvangen van deze ramp. Dus nieuwe apparatuur, verf voor op de muren, een beetje gezelligheid in huis, en als er nog wat over is een stukje ontspanning voor het hele gezin.

A good friend in need. On Friday the 9th of February there was a fire in the kitchen of my friend, a recently divorced mother of 2 teenagers and a young adult all still living at home. Sadly, the family dog passed away due to the smoke contamination during this horrible event. Such overwhelming sadness!

Not only does my friend need to provide for her kids and find a temporary home for the next three months while the insurancey company and the building company make her home liveable again, she has to deal with a family that is in shock and grieving. She has no time to grieve herself, because so much has to be arranged. The entire home is filled with the stench of fire and sooth, literally everything needs to be cleaned, replaced or fixed up. Just imagine: all your kitchen utensils and equipment, your study books, your plants, the computer your children used to make their homework on, the photo pictures on the wall. All of it gone. Everything has to be replaced. Yes, the insurance money will pay for some of it, but not all of it. Our friend is at wits end. We want to support her through these difficult times.

With your donation we will ensure that our friend is supported. So at least she does not have to worry that all her savings will go towards fixing her house and nothing is left for her family to go on holiday this summer or even on scouting camp. So what she needs is new equipment, new paint, some sembalance of a true home for the kids and if possible some relexaction after this horrible period in their lives.
