Stephen Oates Recovery Fund

A few weeks back one of our good friends Stephen Oates was in a horrific accident and he is currently at Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC Reynolds Tower room 908. Steve is currently paralyzed on the left side of his body due to the tramatic damage sustained in the accident. If order to save his life they had to remove about 30% of his skull on the right side of his head. Not trying to get too descriptive, Steve is going to have to have many surgeries to fix the damage an...d months if not years or physical therapy to get back to having a somewhat normal life. We have enough people to get Steve's house cleaned out as a lot of his belongings are being donated to charity as it would cost more to store them than to replace them. In the coming days we will set up a go fund me page to help his father with any expenses he can't absorb, but the main goal here would be to raise enough money to be put into an account for Steve to get started back on his feet after he goes through this unimaginable journey to obtain some sort of a normal life. Luckily like the rest of us Pikes Steve is a fighter and with our support I truly believe that he can get through this very tough endeavor. If you can't contribute financially we understand, if you live in the Triad area of NC or may be passing through the area on business please just stop in and visit with him as I feel as if the more of us he sees that care, the harder he will fight to get his life back. This kind of moral support is what is needed most as I can't possibly fathom the difficult fight he has ahead of him.
