Stephanie Merten's Medical Campaign

Stephanie is a fighter, at only 26 she has been through a lot already! While waiting for a kidney transplant going through routine dialysis and working a full time job she got a blood infection. The infection got so bad it damaged her heart and mitral valve and caused a bleed on her brain. She was transferred to a hospital that is 80 miles away. Her parents are traveling daily as well as working and taking care of her 6 year old son. Stephanie will now have to under go heart surgery to replace the mitral valve, then will need to go to rehabilitation to regain her strength and fight to get her life back. She will still need a kidney transplant when a match is made.  Stephanie has worked at Valero/Corner Store (now becoming Circle K) for over 5 years. She is an amazing young lady whose smile brightens many people's mornings and needs our help. Please help support Stephaine while she goes through this very difficult time.
