Hello everyone,
My name is Stephanie.
Last month I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I have just recently finished my 2 chemo treatment (which was delayed a week because the chemo drugs destroy my immune system so badly that I end up having nothing to defend against viruses or bacteria). My 3rd treatment was suppose to be in 2 days but was delayed again for the same reason and now I have to take injections (on top of all the other medications) to stimulate my immune system so I can continue to keep getting treatments. Which is great except that they are really expensive and are an unexpected cost that I was not prepared for. If you can even be prepared for this kind of thing.
It has quickly become overwhelming and I am finding that no matter how I try and work it I am unable to shoulder the costs of treatment, the injections being one of now 5 medications I have to take never mind travel (gas) and parking. Even with the help of family it has quickly become too much to handle. Honestly, I hate that I even have to ask and I feel awful even starting this GoFundMe, I find asking for help very hard to do, but this situation has left me no other options. I am hoping to raise 7,000 to cover all the necessary costs of treatment and recovery.
I am saving everything that I have but I've already blown through all my savings, this was just a big development that I wasn't ready for, and I feel no one ever really is.
