Stephanie's Migraine Treatment

Spende geschützt
Stephanie's been battling Vestibular Migraines for over seven years, and we are about to enter a new phase of treatment that we're asking for help to support.  Six months ago, her pain increased to a constant level of intensity that she had to leave work - three months later we learned her short term disability claim is denied.

While we work through the appeals process, out-patient infusion treatments, botox therapy, pain management therapy, days of being unable to leave bed due to pain, prescriptions and an occasional ER visit continue.   We're working with her neurologist to travel to the Thomas Jefferson University Headache Center in Philadelphia (http://hospitals.jefferson.edu/diseases-and-conditions/headache/comprehensive-treatments.html) for an intensive inpatient program.  She'll be admitted for 4-7 days latter in March for treatment that we're hoping will get her back to pain free (or as close possible) and ultimately back to a normal life (or what passes for one in our home).

This isn't easy to ask, and we're hoping that the short term disability claim will get resolved soon (could take another 45 days and could be denied), but the combination of years of large medical outlays, three college tuitions, and six-months without her income, we're finding that we need some short term assistance to enable us to go to Philadelphia for the inpatient treatment.  We are grateful for your help.
