Stephanie & Beau's medical expenses

Donation protected
Stephanie & Beau are lovely young couple, married just 2 years, are in the midst of a very scary medical ordeal. It  started when he was admitted to the hospital Sunday  07/23/2017 and released 07/29/2017.  I have inserted  a quote from Stephanie's Facebook page that expalins what has happened far better than I can.

"Your husband has Systolic Heart Failure".  A sentence I was never expecting to hear in my early /wenties. Sunday at 2 am Beau was admitted into the ER in Tahoe for severe stomach pain. They treated that and we told them about some other issues he has been having (trouble with breathing since October- assumed it was asthma and constantly were trying to get someone to treat him, and major water retention for the past week so bad that when you grabbed his ankle, it would leave indents. They immediately started tests for his heart. It was severe enough they transferred him down to Renown in Reno. And he has been there since. They found 3 blood clots, 1 is still in his heart, one traveled to his spleen and one that traveled to his kidney, thus the stomach pain. My sweet Beau has had countless CT scans, pricks for blood work and IVs, chest xrays, etc. and is being so tough and still is trying to keep me laughing and asks how I'm doing all the time. This has been the scariest, most exhausting, and emotionally draining experience I have ever gone through (and am still going through) but am also filled with comfort as I am reminded continuously how loved we are by our friends, family, and even more so our God in Heaven. From all the blessings, and prayers, and calls and texts pouring in I am filled with gratitude as I know we are not alone in this. So all my prayer giants out there, please pray for my sweet husband and hold your loved ones tight."

The emotional impact of serious medical issues is obviously extremely high and yet they have been doing what needs to be done, one step at a time to get through these very challenging minutes, hours and days.   What is written above is only the beginning for them however.

Beau will need costly, ongoing, and extensive medical testing and treatments in the near future for his continued recovery as well as to figure out why this all happened.

Beau recently lost his job and was just beginning a new one when this happened.  Stephanie's income as the infant room teacher at Lake Tahoe Community College Child Development Center is their only source of income. And they have no insurace.  I can only imagine how these medical bills are going to mount up for this young couple.

After much deliberation, Stephanie and Beau have decided to move back to his hometown in Hawaii, where they will have the support of his family as well as access to good medical care through his father's military benefits.  He will there recieve the treatments necessary to get him strong and healthy so these two can live a long happy life together.  Beau will be going soon, with his mother and sister.  Stephanie will stay behind for a couple of months to tie everything up here, pack, and prepare their belongings and beloved dogs for transport.  This in itself is going to be an enormous challene for each of them.

This page is being started in hopes that family and friends who wish to donate can offer a little bit of relief to their situation.  Money raised will help them pay off medical costs already incurred, help with day to day expenses right now and to help with the expense of moving across the water (no easy task!).

Each and every donation is much appreciated no matter how large or small.  It all makes a difference :)
