So, most of you have been following my Cancer story. But for those of you who don’t know my story here is a recap.
In 2015, I was diagnosed with Adeno - Carcinoma. I had surgery that left me with half my stomach, and a large tumor was removed. I under-went 6 months of Chemo, and 5 weeks of radiation. After completing treatment, I was given the news that I was in remission. That great news was short lived. I ended up in the ER with severe stomach pains. After many scans and tests, I was given the news that the Cancer had returned. Now, at stage 4, the Cancer spread throughout my abdomen and reached my Ovaries. So now I have been told, I will be going through 2 major surgeries and more chemotherapy, in hopes to calm the disease. For most of my Cancer journey, I was covered by my husband’s Military Insurance but even after serving 14 years and being medically discharged the military would no longer cover me.
Fast forward to today, I got enrolled with a new insurance but unfortunately our family will be left with Very High medical bills. Each surgery will leave us paying $4,000.00 out of pocket. Not to mention Chemotherapy, and cost for medications that aren’t fully covered. From the bottom of our hearts, we ask that you please help our family in need at this difficult time. Anything will help lessen the burden on our Family. This has been so devastating for me and my Family, the last thing we need to worry about is being able to afford the best treatment to keep fighting.
