Step daughter passed.

Update: On June 25th at 5:20AM Hailie has passed away. She was surrounded by her mother, father and step father until the end. She's no longer suffering through any of this and while that is of a very minimal comfort, she is missed more than anyone could know. We love you so much Hailie Elizabeth Lea Tripp. We love you.

My fiancé and I are currently in Chicago, roughly 2 hours away from our home because our daughter is in Lurie Children's Hospital nearing end of life. She was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (NF1) a little under a year ago, in August of 2020, and on May 8th, we had the worst scare of our lives. She was unable to walk, her legs no longer supported her weight. We immediately took her to Riverside Hospital and they then transferred her here. Everything was looking okay until two weeks ago when they found JMML Leukemia. They were treating it with Chemotherapy, however her body was not working with the medicine and on Sunday the, 6th of June, they did another MRI and found the tumor behind her eye had grown approximately 30% since the previous MRI 2 weeks before it. We were also told that her brain has been swelling at an alarming rate and that the medical team has run out of treatments. Hailie was given days to live given the progression of the growth and swelling. Since the diagnosis, we have been up here with her and I will not let her pass without being there for her. That means we are currently without income and we have bills that are beginning to pile up, along with expenses for our maintaining our stay here with her. With donations, we can keep our apartment and pay our bills so that when I return to my job we aren't homeless and struggling. Our 12 week old son is currently with his grandmother while we remain here and there's no telling how long we will be here. I pray we can make it through this difficult time and every little bit will help. Thank you all for understanding.
