Stem Cells for Claire Bear

Claire is a fun loving sweet little 3.5 year old. She was injured at birth resulting in Cerebral Palsy. Claire needs help with everything in her daily life, such as getting dressed, being fed, playing, sitting, and everything typical 3 year olds do. This has never stopped her from loving life. 

She’s a fierce warrior! 

Claire undergoes a lot of therapy to help her reach her full potential. She has Physio, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy five days a week, she goes to Conductive Education Therapy twice a week, plus she attends pre school three afternoons a week. She’s a busy girl. 

This past March she went to Orlando Florida to participate in a week long intensive therapy at the Brain Plasticity Centre. We learned a lot about Claire’s brain and the way she learns. 

We now have a new opportunity. Two years ago, we put Claire on the waiting list for Stem Cell Treatment in  Arizona.  This would potentially regenerate brain tissue and allow Claire to make more gains.  This could potentially CHANGE her life.  We got the call two days ago that Claire’s wait is over. She will be going to have her stem cell treatment January 13th 2020.  We are over the moon excited for this opportunity. 

(In non medical terms) They will be extracting the stem cells from Claire’s hip, and then injecting the separated MSC into her nervous system through the lower part of her spine as well as using a nasal spray.  The stem cells will travel through her body to her brain to help her and regenerate the parts of her brain which are damaged. 

The donations we are aspiring to get will go towards paying for Claire’s stem cell procedures, as well as the intensive therapy she will receive Prior to going and in the weeks to follow. 

We increased our goal because never did 
we imagine so many kind and generous
people would want to help. The community is now getting involved in funding with us
and suggested we raise Claire’s goal and
try to cover more of her stem cell and
therapy procedures.  This girl is loved ❤️
