Stem Cell Treatment for Betsy

Donation protected
Hello my name is Betsy. Eleven years ago at the age of 46 I suffered an adverse reaction to a medication and because it was a generic I had no legal recourse. Prior to my reaction I was a healthy mother of 3 who could ski all day and run over 3 miles. Since then my health has deteriorated to the point where I’m disabled with numerous issues, use a walker and I’ve become housebound. Although some things have improved with a healthy diet I can’t walk more than ¼ mile and that’s only on a good day. Most days I can’t even walk that far. My illness has taken a toll on our finances as I haven’t been able to work in 7 years. I’m looking to raise money for stem cell therapy treatment which is not covered by insurance. It is my hope that this treatment will repair some of the severe body wide damage, reduce my pain, and allow me to regain some strength and stamina so that I might be able to help around the house again. Currently everything has fallen on my husband who's working full time, does all the shopping, cooking, home and car maintenance and has to take care of me as well.

In October of 2015 I was on a Boston news report about the medication that caused my disability that can be viewed at this link;  https://www.fox25boston.com/news/fox25-investigates-some-blame-certain-antibiotics-for-devastating-side-effects/8626979 (Note: this link takes you to a photo but if you click on the arrow to the right in the picture it will bring you to a video where you can see me speak and move.) I did this in an attempt to help others avoid the nightmare that has become my life. I’ve spent the last decade researching ways to improve my health as the medical system has no idea how to help those of us harmed. And despite my efforts I have not been able to regain my strength and mobility. I live with chronic pain of various kinds 24/7; nerve, tendon, joint, muscle and random pains that come and go for no apparent reason. My efforts and research have led me to stem cell therapy which has helped others like me that suffered adverse reactions. A friend of mine who was bedridden recently did this therapy and was able to go on a 10 mile hike afterward! While I don’t know what my results would be it is my hope that I might regain some semblance of a life and independence again. If I could walk a mile I would be thrilled. If I could use my hands and stand long enough to cook dinner or even regain the ability to speak clearly and smell again I’d be incredibly grateful .

I have donated to GoFundMe campaigns over the years and as difficult as this is I’m now asking for donations so that I can afford this much needed therapy. I appreciate anything you can do to help me attain my goal for this treatment and if you can’t afford to donate would you please be kind enough to share this GoFundMe fundraiser? Thank you in advance for your kindness and please watch the video to get an idea of how much I struggle to function doing simple daily tasks.

Blessings to you,

Betsy
