Life Saving Heart Surgery for Robert

My brother , Robert Paterno, is a wonderful person.  He has a very loving heart.  You know he is a good guy because he survived childhood with five sisters!  He and I have always been close and he visited me a lot over the years when my husband Walter was alive.  Bob was there for me when Walter became ill and passed away.  Although Bob never married, the love of his life was Rosalyn. He cared for her in the most loving way during her courageous battle with breast cancer and I know he misses her dearly.  Bob shows the same loving care for his horses and recently retired his 30 year old buddy Rowdy to a retirement farm. The 9th Annual Wallyfest was just at my house last weekend, and sure enough my brother made sure that he was there to show his love and support for me.

Now Bob is ill with heart failure and it is my hope to raise money for Bob to receive stem cell therapy for treatment of his heart failure.  He is unable to take the standard heart failure drugs because they make his blood pressure too low; but they aren't a cure, they just treat some of the symptoms.  Now there is new hope for those with heart failure through treatment with stem cells.  While this therapy has been shown to be effective with few if any side effects, right now it is only available in some European countries like Germany and England. This revolutionary therapy most likely won't become available in the US for another five years, which likely won't be soon enough for Bob.

So I have set up this Go Fund Me Page for Bob, actually without his knowledge, in the hopes of raising enough money for Bob to go to Europe and receive stem cell therapy.  I thank you in advance if you are able to make a donation, no matter how small.  But your kind thoughts and prayers for my brother Bob are also welcome.  Thank you!
