Stella Henry medical

This is our warrior Stella Henry. She is the daughter of Corey and Ashley Henry, little sister to Michael Henry. They are a young family building their lives in LeesSummit, Mo.

Stella was diagnosed with PNET (a rare brain cancer) when she was 18 months old. 24 hours after finding her brain tumor she had brain surgery and started her battle. After months of grueling chemotherapy Stella’s MRI’s looked clear. Stella’s family began to cautiously get back to their lives then a few months later the monster that is brain cancer returned. Stella and her families only hope was MD Anderson Cancer hospital in Houston TX.

At MD Anderson Stella had a 2nd brain surgery, Proton Radiation then strong Chemotherapy. Stella and Ashley stayed in Houston while Corey and Michael were home in Lees Summit with Corey and Michael commuting back and forth as much as humanly possible. This young family was torn but fighting a courageous fight. After months of being away from family and friends they were able to go home and finish treatment with Children’s Mercy in KC.

The family was finally able to celebrate her last treatment and they were able to start venturing out…Stella got to go to Target..she was thrilled.

As the Henry’s lives were getting back to a normal pace, Stella and Michael thriving happy kids.

Stella’s next few scans seemed good until last month. The Henry’s were told Stella has 2 new tumors. Surgery is not an option, the only option is an experimental chemotherapy that will have to be done in Houston TX at MD Anderson.

The financial strain on this family is unimaginable. Their daughter fighting this monster for a 3rd time.

I am starting this Go Fund Me in hopes of helping to relieve a bit of the strain.

Through Stella’s battle, the family has been humbled and touched by the generosity of the community. There are not words to thank you all for the support
