Stefani Infante is a 31-year-old woman from Miami, Florida, who faces life’s challenges with remarkable strength, resilience, and determination. Born and raised in Miami, Stefani comes from a culturally rich family—her father, originally from New York, plays a vital role in her life by helping with childcare. Stefani’s greatest source of joy is her two-year-old daughter, Grace, whom she lovingly refers to as her "miracle baby."
Stefani’s life has been shaped by both profound joy and significant loss. Her mother, born in Havana, Cuba, passed away from cancer four years ago, leaving a lasting impact on Stefani’s life. This loss deepened her resolve to stay strong and live life with purpose. Stefani also carries the RAD51C gene, a genetic mutation that greatly increases her risk of developing cancer. In late 2024, Stefani was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer and will begin chemotherapy in January 2025. Later in the year, she is scheduled to undergo a double mastectomy.
In October of 2024, Stefani underwent surgery that further complicated her already difficult financial situation. The medical bills from that surgery, combined with the expenses for her upcoming cancer treatment and surgery, have left Stefani struggling to keep up with her financial obligations. As a result, she will be missing a significant amount of work and, unfortunately, will be going without pay on most days. Despite these challenges, Stefani has not wavered in her commitment to providing for her family.
Stefani’s supportive husband has been working overtime and every day to save for her treatments and surgery, doing everything he can to ensure they meet their financial responsibilities. In addition, Stefani is working two jobs, fiercely saving money to cover bills, her daughter’s needs, and the medical costs that lie ahead. The strain is significant, but Stefani remains determined to stay afloat and keep her family moving forward.
Throughout all of this, Stefani draws strength from her love for art. She is passionate about drawing, painting, and gardening—creative outlets that offer her a sense of peace and escape. These hobbies will serve as a crucial source of support during her chemotherapy journey, helping her stay grounded and find joy amidst the hardships.
As Stefani prepares for her port placement on December 23, 2024, and the challenges that await, her focus remains on supporting Grace and managing her family's needs. Despite the overwhelming obstacles she faces, Stefani’s love for her daughter and her dedication to her family continue to fuel her resolve. Each day, she takes one step forward with courage, knowing that no matter how tough the journey may be, she is doing everything in her power to stay strong for her loved ones.
