We want to help. What have we got? Sewing machines, materials and pattern making abilities.
So at SteelCore we have switched gears from making yoga and dancewear apparel to making protective cotton masks that can be worn alone, or to cover and protect the valuable and rare N-95 masks that all our first responders need and have the right to expect.
So far, we have donated our masks to local hospitals here in Bethlehem, PA in the Lehigh Valley, and we're just getting started. As the word has spread locally, more first responders, and individual health care providers have reached out to us directly, expressing need for mask donations.
We have gotten donations of materials and labor so far, but we need to purchase more materials, and the costs are going up as the availability goes down. All the ties are coming from cut up yoga/dancewear fabrics that we have on hand, and we can think of no better use! Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated.
