Stay Strong Yesica

No person wants to hear the word cancer in their lifetime. But for someone to, not only, hear that word twice, but gather the strength and spirit to fight through it, speaks volumes to the lengths this person would go through to overcome it. This person, who is a wife, mother, daughter and survivor, is pushing through the battle all while maintaining a joyous outlook on life for herself and for her family. Yesica Rosalio Mendez is the definition of a fighter, who bravely faces everyday with hope and looks ahead with positivity.

In November 2014, Yesica was diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 3B and underwent surgery and tireless hours of chemotherapy. While her prognosis was good, it does not take into account the time spent away from her family, the pain endured through every commute, and the out-of-pocket costs. Through it all, Yesica kept her spirits high and her outlook positive. Then after three years or chemotherapy and radiation, she beat the cancer.

The love and support from her family and friends was overwhelming and helped her through her healing process. She became a role model for strength and perseverance, not only for her family, but for any individual that hears her courageous story. However, it seems that Yesica was not done fighting her battle.

This year, in February, she was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor and underwent surgery, once again. Most of the tumor was successfully removed and Yesica received a positive prognosis. However, will still need to undergo additional tests, which will be a physical challenge. With everyone's love and support, we hope to make her journey to beat cancer a success.

We are asking for your help to support Yesica and her family, to obtain the best medical attention, to beat this cancer. Her story has been lengthy and difficult, but with your donation, we hope to alleviate her from the financial stresses, and keep fighting.

Thank you, in advance, for supporting Yesica through her battle with cancer. On behalf of Yesica and her family, we thank you for the help and prayers. #fuckcancer
