Stay Strong Nate Lynch

As some know and many are finding out, Nate Lynch was involved in a car accident in South Carolina Wednesday, January 8 when he and a few of his crewmembers were struck from behind by a drunk driver while at a stop light. Nate was sitting in the far back seat of the eight passenger van. The vehicle that hit them was a lifted pick up truck. Because of the speed of the collision and the height of the pick up, Nate sustained some serious injuries.

What we know so far is that he has a fractured neck (amongst other injuries) and is sedated on a breathing machine while his body tries to recover from the trauma. He has many long days, weeks, and months ahead, a lot of which is still unknown. He will require a lot of love and support from family and friends and one way to make a big impact is by raising funds that will be used toward medical bills, rehab, and whatever else Nate and his family will need along his road to recovery.  

Nate is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy, class of 2017 and has been sailing as 3rd assistant engineer with Military Sealift Command (MSC) for the past 3 years. His knowledge, skill, and work ethic has made him an incredible and well respected asset to the USNS Apache and MSC.
