Stay Strong For David

David is 12 years old and currently a 7th grade student. He was recently involved in a serious accident where he suffered multiple injuries including a broken femur and multiple other fractures. His injuries will not break his spirit or his HEART OF A LION. David has been a water boy and manager for Santa Rosa Lions and Cubs Athletics since he was only a few years old. He has been at every practice, every game, every weight room session (even those at 7am). He was looking forward to nothing more to finally be an official Lion himself and to compete in middle school sports and eventually high school sports. Which we all know he eventually will do after his recovery. His heart of gold goes far beyond athletics, David is one of the most generous, caring kids you will ever meet. His constant positive outlook on life is adored by anyone that comes in contact with him. He is staying strong and already showing TOUGHNESS like never before. In the words of his father, “He’s never once had a poor me or why me attitude. He has accepted the adversity he is facing and shown no fear in the face of this challenge.”

 

The goal of this GoFundMe is to raise money to help purchase a gift to help lift David’s spirits and aid him through his long road to recovery.

 

With every donation we will also be STAYING STRONG FOR DAVID. For every dollar raised, we challenge current and former Lion and Lady Lion Athletes to do 1 push-up, 1 sit-up, or 1 squat. As well as run a mile for every 50 dollars raised. There were countless times where David was there to bring us water, a towel, ice, tape, or even a smile or words of encouragement. It is our turn show we have his back and will be there for him. Every donation and words of encouragement is greatly appreciated.
