I’ve created this gofundme page to help Colleen “Tele Colleen” Hathaway who is a dear friend and co-worker on A3. Colleen has been a nurse at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan for the past 40 years. Colleen started her career as a floor nurse on East 3 and has been exceptional at monitoring the heart rates/rhythms for patients on both A3 and A4 for the past 10+ years. Her job is incredibly important and comes with a lot of responsibility. On A3 we all miss seeing her smiling face. The staff on both A3 and A4 miss hearing her say “Tele Colleen” in her sweet voice whenever she answers the phone.
Colleen was diagnosed with Breast Cancer not long ago and is currently undergoing treatment. She’s had quite a few unanticipated setbacks, including an abscessed tooth and recent admission to the hospital for Pneumonia. Her out of pocket costs are sky high and will continue to climb. She’s been unable to return to work between chemo treatments. She was depending on the income she would have earned had she been able to. Every dollar donated and prayer said would be appreciated beyond belief.
Colleen has 2 wonderful children, Brian and Kristina, who are very supportive. She also has her constant therapy cat “Jack” by her side.
Bake/Craft Sale at Munson is also being planned.
