Hello, my name is Justin Arena (they/them) I am a printmaker, musician, and community organizer and I am part of a passionate team starting the Together Community Arts Center (an all-ages sober accessible arts space).

The Together Community Arts Center is a vision and dream that I have had my whole life. Since I was 15, myself and my friends have attempted to have this idea come to life. over the last year i have moved into and out of 4 spaces. starting September 1st, we move into what i believe is finally the right space for us. we ended up finding this space in New Bedford, an incredibly active artistic community accessible to Boston, providence, cap cod, Worcester , south shore and south coast fairly. Our space is right on the beach with a great amount of indoor Sqft, outside overflow space and great parking. Handicap accessible and great Ventilation for disabled/ immunocompromised folks.

To start the non-profit I am fronting the costs of the building so we can start operations thus obtaining the ability for grant writing and additional funding activities. While I am excited to move forward, I am also shouldering 100% of the financial liability until we can get community support.

Growing up south of boston was a formative experience for me. Although, the area lacks direct support for the arts, especially for LGBT and marginalized people. We want to be able to give opportunities and a space that I wish I had growing up.
