Sam's Stanford High School Tuition

We, Blishda Lacet and Kelly Brown, are raising money for our beautiful, spunky and free-spirited 14-year-old child who is the absolute love of our lives!
Sam was fortunate enough to get into Stanford's Online High School for the 2017-18 school year. This program has given Sam the opportunity to really stretch academically in a way that has never happened before.
We decided to look into this program because Sam was beginning to become disillusioned with high school and had begun talking about feeling like it wasn't relevant to the future. Sam is extremely bright but was no longer thriving in high school. The excitement that Sam showed as we looked through Stanford's course catalog was absolutely stunning!
Stanford costs approximately $21,000 per year to attend. Fortunately, Sam qualified for their Malone Scholarship which is awarded to students who have strong academic and public service histories and show potential for excellence at Stanford. This scholarship left us with a $8,000 balance that we are now trying to raise money for.
We have already covered the cost of Sam's books, fees, and the initial deposit but could use help with the rest of the tuition. Over the past two years, our family dealt with a traumatic event which led to significant and unexpected medical costs. These past two years have been really hard and it has been wonderful to see Sam come so alive around the idea of engaging in an exciting academic endeavor. Your assistance will help us to ensure that Sam can continue in this new and exciting program and will be greatly appreciated.
