Help provide standing desks for 3rd grade!

July 2023 update: 

This is my third year raising money for standing desks. In the first year, I was able to purchase seven, and last year, I was able to purchase eight. I would love to reach that number again! My goal is to assist as many 3rd-grade classrooms as possible. These standing desks have a significant impact on students' attention and behavior. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. Thank you for your continuous support, and we eagerly anticipate another fantastic year!

July 2022 update: It was such an amazing opportunity to have these desks in my classroom this year. I saw a major difference in my wiggle worms! Now I want to help my fellow 3rd grade teachers purchase some for their classrooms! Please help me reach more learners! 

Hi my name is Erin Johnston and I am a 3rd grade teacher in Florida. I am seeking help for my students that struggle sitting still and staying focused. Standing desks are beginning to be the standard in major companies like Microsoft and Google. What is already a popular trend in offices is slowing making its way into the schools. Standing desks are especially beneficial to students who find sitting still for long periods of time difficult. Studies have shown that using a standing desk allows students to feel less restrained, helps them stay alert while increasing their ability to focus concentration, improves classroom behavior, improves musculoskeletal health and posture, increases the amount of calories burned, and improves breathing. Ultimately my goal is to help students enjoy being at school and enjoy learning.
