Standing Strong with Rebecca : Fighting Lymphoma & Fertility

My name is Carmelo, and I am reaching out to you with a hopeful heart and a determined spirit on behalf of my incredible wife, Rebecca.

In the face of adversity, Rebecca has shown unwavering strength and resilience.

Rebecca is mom to our dog Carleton and cat Mason. She is a small business owner, owning and operating her dog grooming salon- Nose To Toes Grooming.

Just over a month ago, Rebecca was diagnosed with lymphoma. This came as a severe shock to us all.

At only 35 years old, just shy of celebrating her 36th birthday on April 13th, she is courageously battling this illness with every ounce of her being. But amidst this challenging journey, our dreams of starting a family have not dimmed.

We had recently been trying to start a family before finding out the bad news.

Due to the effects chemotherapy will have on Rebecca's reproductive cycle, we were left with no other viable option but to pursue IVF. It's a path we never anticipated, but one we are embracing wholeheartedly in our quest to build our family.

Rebecca is undergoing fertility shots in preparation for an egg retrieval procedure, needed before starting chemotherapy.

We are no strangers to the impact of cancer in our lives. My sister has also faced this formidable foe, and our family understands the hardships and uncertainties that come with it. Yet, we remain steadfast in our resolve to overcome these obstacles together.
