Stand with Yasmin's Family: Regain Their Childhood

Hi, I'm Yasmin, a Palestinian child from Gaza aged 3 and this is my story,

I was super happy when I finally got a little sister that was born on the 1st of October last year, and I was up all-night thinking of all the games and joy we were going to have together! But my happiness did not last as a brutal war happened just a week after!

I could not understand what "War" meant but I knew it was not a happy word as I saw people running and crying with scary sounds all around me.

I woke up in the middle of the night with my father carrying me while my mother carried my little sister. I was sleepy but I was still excited to go on a picnic with my family, but it was never a picnic.

My family and I went to this weirdly shaped cloth and slept under it for the night and so, I thought to myself that this was just a trip and that we'll be home by morning.

That morning never came.

Each day was misery as I never got any toys to play with, never got to eat any of my favorite foods ever again and always saw my dear parents in a constate state of sadness looking over our dirty clothes and carrying buckets of water many times a day and always hugging me whenever there were loud scary noises.

It was the cruel war which forced my family to leave their own home and to be refugees in a tent. If you want to know something about my tent, I can tell you that it is a poor tent made of cloth which doesn't save us against any hot or cold weather.

It is a tent that lacks all basic needs! No clean water, No toilet, nor electricity.

It is one of thousands of tents crowded in one area.

I am very worried about my little sister Nour who was a piece of meat when we were forced to leave our home and she hasn't received any vaccine yet.

So her life is in danger now and she can be infected easily.

Also , my parents can hardly find milk and suitable food for her because of the ugly war.

Simply, we are dying slowly.

I don't want my parents to be sad and I don’t want my little sister Noor to be in this scary place rather than a lovely garden we could play together in.

So please help us save our family from this war.

We are children who wants to play and be happy just like everyone else, and can't wait to go to kindergarten to meet new friends and play on the swings while singing.

I send my massage to the all kind hearts in this world to save at least ONE single family from dying in a very ugly way, to escape from war, and to live an ordinary life just like everyone else.

We need you help to regain our childhood.

I am sure that our universe is full of kind people who are ready to give a hand .
