Stand with Sherry

Donation protected
With dignity and grace, our beloved friend Sherry has left our living world on April 24, 2024. Sherry was comfortable and in the presence of her husband during her final moments. It brings us much comfort to know she passed with the love of her life by her side. She was not fearful or suffering and radiated strength even in her final moments. May our memories of Sherry get us through our grief.

At the tender age of 31, on Father's Day, Sherry received the heartbreaking diagnosis of breast cancer. After her diagnosis Sherry underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation, all in hopes of entering remission. Despite the constant uphill battle, she never lost hope. In 2020 Sherry and her family received the wonderful news, she had finally entered what at the time we believed to be remission. After a long fight Sherry and Scott were finally able to focus on getting excited for their future and the family they would subsequently build.

They were married in 2020 and on July 28, 2021 they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Laila Paige. Sherry found solace and joy in the birth of her daughter. However, on April 13, 2024, their world came crashing down. Sherry began feeling unwell. Concerned for his beloved wife, Scott rushed her to Boston. After testing, they discovered a brain tumor, accompanied by the heartbreaking news that her breast cancer had returned and spread throughout her body. Since the discovery, Sherry has undergone two major brain surgeries, and is currently in the ICU.

Every day Scott sits by her side, waiting for signs of improvement, praying to have his wife back. As of April 23, 2024, at only 37 years old, we wait in anticipation for Sherry to wake up from both surgeries. Unsure of what her condition may be, we continue to have hope she will be able to hug her husband and daughter again. Despite the immense challenges they face, Sherry, Scott, and little Laila refuse to succumb to despair. They are fighters, warriors determined to defy the odds stacked against them. But even the bravest warriors need support, and that's where you come in.

If you know Scott, you know he is always working tirelessly to provide for his girls. At this time, however, he has had to take a step back from his many small businesses and his full time career as a police detective. Any and all monies raised will go directly to support medical treatments for Sherry, pay for hotel and travel expenses for Scott, and help to lessen the burden of this fight for their family.
Anything above and beyond this will be donated in Sherry’s name and/or used to create a foundation to assist families going through a similar fight in the future. Your generosity can make a world of difference in Sherry’s battle against cancer. Every dollar brings them one step closer to a future filled with hope, laughter, and precious moments together as a family.

Join us in rallying behind Sherry, Scott, and Laila as they fight for a brighter tomorrow. Together, we can be their strength, their support system, and their ray of hope in the darkest of times.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity.
