Hi, my name is Kristina Vessella.
I’m a neighbor and dear friend of the Fuentes family, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and deep faith.
A few weeks ago, Ava began running a low-grade fever that wouldn’t go away. On Saturday morning, her father Carlos went to wake her—and instead found himself in a moment no parent should ever face. Ava was having a seizure. She was rushed to the hospital, and there, they received the kind of news that shakes a family to its core:
Ava has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
In the face of this devastating diagnosis, we are holding on to one truth: God is still in control.
Ava’s journey will be long—2.5 years of chemotherapy and countless challenges—but we believe in the power of prayer, healing, and community.
This GoFundMe is being created to lift some of the financial burden this family will face so they can focus on what matters most: walking with Ava through this storm with faith, love, and strength.
Whether you feel called to give, to share, or simply to pray—every gesture matters.
Please stand with us in praying for complete healing, for strength for Ava’s family, and for peace that only God can give.
Thank you for surrounding this beautiful family with love.
Please keep praying. Ava is God’s child, and we believe in her miracle.
