Lorene Ogburn is a team member in our Kearney, MO RedRock branch office.
Lorene was diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago and after two surgeries the Doctors found that she has 2 types of cancer, one of which is very aggressive and likes to spread to other parts of the body rather quickly.
After several test and even more new prescription medications, on August 22nd she started the first of 4 major rounds of chemo therapy also known as the “Red Devil”. Once that part of her treatment is completed she will have to do radiation for at least 8-9 months.
Lorene is the bright and shining face of our office, always smiling and laughing about something and eager to help in any way at all. Although Lorene is keeping her spirits up the stress of it all is taking a toll. Sadly, cancer is not what is getting her down, but rather it is the impending medical bills. This and the isolation during treatment have her more scared than the dreaded C-word. Lorene is a people person and the thought of not being around people for an extended time has her extremely worried.
She is determined not to let this cancer break her spirit, but as we all know that this Cancer is going to have a dire financial impact. During this time Lorene will be on short term disability but that only pays a fraction of her income and the bills will be starting to pile up.
She has not seen the bills for the hospital stay, doctors, or lab work yet and she is already $2,000 out of pocket for deductibles and medication. She could really use any help in this trying time.
Please pray for her and if you can give generously to help a wonderful person and good friend fight this fight and beat this thing called Cancer.
