Stan Stargazing Through Ceiling?

The sun is beginning to shine on our friend Stan Seeberg; unfortunately, it is about to start shining through the ceiling in his home.  Though that could be an advantage to an astronomer like Stan, it is rather more inconvenient when the rains come. There is a leak in the old roof on Stan's manufactured home. We're now seeing evidence of increasing dry rot in the siding and mold coming into his home.  

Stan is desperately in need of a new roof and his finances won't begin to fund it.  Average cost from four recent bids for just replacing the roof is = ~$8,000.  We don't know the extent of the damage to siding, structure, etc. so repair costs are unknown.


Stan has never met a stranger and finds joy in his interactions with people.  He would give the shirt off of his back to any one of us if necessary.  He is 75 years old now and no longer able to work due to physical restrictions.  His monthly income is barely covering his monthly bills. 

 

We are currently in our rainy season here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  It is imperative that we get his roof replaced as soon as possible.  We have nowhere left to turn for financial resources so are resorting again to a GoFundMe campaign to reach people who may be willing to help with any kind of contribution.  He will be so grateful for every contribution from the heart: financial, charity leads, labor, materials, advice, prayers, special skills, etc.

 

OR we would be "beyond the galaxy" grateful if an individual or roofing company would donate their labor and/or materials to this endeavor.  Please reach out to someone you may know that might be willing to tackle this project for free or significantly discounted.  Stan needs resources for roof repair/replacement, dry rot repair, mold abatement, interior painting, etc. 

 

We are anxious for ANY legitimate resources we can get towards this end.  Stan lives in Vancouver, Washington, USA.
