Salaamu Alakium! It is with absolute sadness that I write this and I wish this wasn't the case but unfortunately it is. One of the families I hold dearest to my heart are in distress and in need of some assistance. This family, no joke, has always been at the front of the line for ANYONE that has ever needed help and are huge givers in our community and it's time we now pay them back for all the good they've done for everyone else.
For privacy purposes, names will not be disclosed but get your kleenex out as this pious family of six is going through the toughest time of their lives and are in desperate need of help.
The mother has stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized and just had brain surgery 3 days ago as her last attempt for life. She's been battling cancer for a couple of years now and is in the end stages and throughout this process has been one of the most cheerful and loving mom, friend and wife I have yet to meet. Due to the dire situation, her husband has been taking care of her and her kids and hasn't been able to work as often as he is the only one there to care for her as all the kids are too young to be left home alone. His immediate family has been helping out as much as they can and have been traveling back and forth but are at the limit where they can't help out as much anymore. They have depleted funds due to this situation and the kids will be having to move into their grandparents home and the grandparents are going to need some financial help to take care of the kids. They need $6,000 to help cover some of their bills by the end of this month for just a little bit of ease. May Allah accept from us our efforts, Ameen! (We hit our $6,000 goal alhamdulliah but gofundme takes about $650 of that so I have increased the goal to $7500 to raise a little more funds for the family to be able to hit $6000 inshaa Allah).
