Stacie Ferraro - Medical Fund

Donation protected
Stacie (Litherland) Ferraro is an amazing wife, mother, and friend.  She's also been dealt a tough hand of cards throughout her life.  As a child, Stacie battled genetic immune deficiency disorder. While she beat the odds, it also increased her risk of health issues as an adult.  This summer, we received the heartbreaking news that Stacie had tumors in her liver. They were cancerous, and they were growing aggressively.  Because she was not a candidate for a liver transplant, it was also terminal.  Two rounds of radiation shrunk the tumors, but new ones were growing, and the radiation was affecting her healthy liver tissue.  The day after Thanksgiving, Stacie was admitted to the critical care unit at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN while visiting family for the holiday.  Doctors shocked us with the news that her liver and kidney function was declining rapidly – likely giving us only weeks left with her.  She was released from the hospital to go back home to Tell City, IN under Hospice care.  Only days later, she was admitted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN after a bout of severe internal bleeding nearly took her life.

Stacie is now home with Hospice care, surrounded by friends and family, and spending quality time with her husband, Tony, and 2 beautiful children Grace (7) and Chase (6).  It takes a special kind of person to open their heart to foster children, and that is exactly what Tony and Stacie did. Grace and Chase were both adopted this year--with the hope of a wonderful life of normalcy and happiness.

First and foremost, we are seeking thoughts and prayers for Stacie.  We know that money won’t change the outcome for Stacie, but the family will need to care for her during this time and bills and medical cost are escalating. Every donation helps, and if you cannot donate, please share this story, and please pray!  Thank you to everyone who reads, donates, shares, or prays for this family.
